Backup or HTML package: which should I use?
One restores the app; the other is for offline reading.
Choose by purpose
| Full backup | HTML memory package | |
|---|---|---|
| File | .stopsandstories |
ZIP archive |
| Restore on a new phone | Yes | No |
| Read in a desktop browser | Not its purpose | Yes, after full extraction |
Choose Export backup to keep a restorable copy or change phones. Choose an HTML package to browse offline on a computer. You can keep both.
iCloud Drive is a storage destination, not a third restore format. See the iCloud Drive guide.
